I am a clinical psychologist, psycho-oncologist and PhD candidate in Biomedical Sciences in Romania. As founder and president of Restart la Viață, I coordinate a national network of free psychological support groups for people affected by cancer and their families. I also initiated postgraduate psycho-oncology education in Romania and organize the National and International Conference of Psycho-Oncology, bringing together clinicians, researchers, patients and international experts.

My doctoral research focuses on chemotherapy-related cognitive impairment—“chemo brain”—and integrated psychological interventions. As both a psycho-oncology professional and a cancer survivor, I combine clinical expertise, research and lived experience in my work. Something personal about me: I transformed one of the most difficult experiences of my life into a long-term mission to ensure that no person affected by cancer in Romania has to face the psychological impact of the illness alone.
