Danish Psycho-Oncology Cooperative group (DPOC) / Dansk Psyko-onkologisk Netværk

Mission and vision of the Society:

The Danish Psycho-Oncology Cooperative Group (DPOC) works towards ensuring that all cancer patients and their relatives are offered relevant psycho-oncological support during and after their cancer journey.

Aims and scope of the Society:

The Danish Psycho-Oncology Cooperative group (DPOC) is a professional network for healthcare professionals, researchers, and patient representatives who are involved in psycho-oncology.

In DPOC, we define psycho-oncology as the study of the connections between biological, psychological, and social factors and their impact on cancer patients and their families. We work to disseminate knowledge about psycho-oncology and relevant interventions that can address the psychosocial needs of current and former cancer patients and their families.

Through research and organizational efforts, we aim to enhance the national standard of care, ensuring that all cancer patients and their families are offered appropriate psycho-oncological support during and after a cancer journey, with the goal of promoting health and quality of life.
