I am a clinician researcher aiming to improve outcomes for people affected by cancer. Cancer survivorship can be a complex challenge for cancer survivors and their families. On one hand, it is a gift of survival, on the other, a burden of physical, psychological and practical concerns, many of which are not well managed. I am passionate about harnessing expertise across diverse research disciplines including epidemiology, clinical trials, psycho-oncology and implementation science, to develop innovative and effective solutions to these problems, working together with people affected by cancer, clinicians, and policy makers.
I am honoured to serve as an inaugural Director of the Australian Research Centre for Cancer Survivorship at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). The Centre, created through a joint investment of $40 million AUD from UNSW and Cancer Council NSW, was established in 2024 with a focus on improving the care and wellbeing of cancer survivors through transformative and impactful research in Australia and beyond.
