Founder and CEO of ART2CARE Program, the first Art Therapy program in the Middle East dedicated to children with cancer, and their families, launched in Cairo, Egypt in 2013 at 57357 hospital. ART2CARE Program has provided Art As Therapy to children and adolescents diagnosed with cancer, and a year later it was successfully introduced to children with life threatening diseases. In the past 9 years, Dr. Elewah has presented her program in over 70 international conferences, organized over 200 training workshops, participated in over 50 exhibitions, and conducted over 1000 art therapy sessions with population in need.
Dr. Elewah is holder of PhD in Healthcare Environmental Management from USA, OIDA Psychotherapy Diploma from Bulgaria, Introduction and Foundation Diploma in Art Therapy from Ireland, Therapeutic Arts Practitioner and Expressive Arts Therapist from Canadian International Institute for Art Therapy CiiAT.
Dr. Elewah values art as a means to assist/heal/support individuals in dealing with complex and confusing emotional issues. She has also worked at orphanage where her passion for children led her to provide art as therapy and conduct case studies for children dealing with the uncertainties. She provided Art As Therapy to children and families dealing with grief, loss, and changes in family dynamics. She continues to help children deal with the realities of painful medical procedures, using Art As Therapy to develop emotional strength and stability.
