A Roter Interaction Analysis System (RIAS) Coding and Research Workshop will be offered by Susan Larson (Faculty, Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Baltimore, Maryland USA and co-owner of RIASWORKS, LLC) on March 8-10, 2017.
The course objectives
- To provide training to researchers in the use of the RIAS method of interaction analysis
- To provide training in the use of the RIAS-linked applications software
- To provide a forum for discussion of methodological strategies for the conduct of RIAS-related research
Schedule of the workshop
Day 1: Background and Introduction to RIAS; RIAS coding scheme and definitions
Day 2: RIAS practice coding sessions; Installation of RIAS coding software and training
Day 3: Reliability, data management, software configurations; RIAS adaptations and elaborations

US$642 which the fee includes
- RIAS training sessions;
- a copy of the RIAS software*; and
- follow-up coding support
Course fee is only payable upon confirmation of acceptance to the course.

Notes to participants
Each participant should need to bring a laptop (Windows OS with Access) and headphones.
Be sure that you have administrative privileges to ensure that the RIAS applications may be downloaded to your computer during the session.
